Heidi and Megan met in grad school. They travelled to Malaysia together through a study abroad program and quickly became best friends. They both have careers as counselors and love their dogs and cats more than most people.

Jess and Matt used to work together. Jess and Megan quickly bonded over their love of cats and books. Jess is the person who restarted Megan's unhealthy obsession with books and supports all her nerdiness. Jess is the trusted go-to pet sitter and the girls couldn't love her more.

Muggs has been friends with Matt for many years. Megan and Muggs friendship has grown over the years from playing trivia, to talking about dogs, to sharing book recommendations, to watching plays together, to trying new snacks, to seeing concerts. Muggs remains one of our closest and most dear friends.

Melanie is married to Megan's brother, Chris. She is the sister Megan always wanted. They both love manatee's, swimming, the sun, naps, murder mysteries, and true crime documentaries.

Megan has been friends with Becky since she was 18 years old. Becky moved in next door to Megan's parents. Megan quickly knew Becky was "one of her people."

Matt and Tyler became friends in high school, working together on a horse farm. They spend most of their weekends together in the winter months snowmobiling, giving Megan time to read her books.

Chris is Megan's brother.

Mike is Matt's brother.

Louie and Matt met each other at a previous job. Louie is one of Matt and Megan's closest friends.

Brett and Matt met each other through Tyler on a snowmobile trip to Munising, MI. They have been friends ever since.

Josh and Matt share a similar story as Brett and Matt. However, Josh is a big CAT guy.
