Nathalie and Megan met during culinary school in Portland, Oregon. They quickly bonded over being native Californians, their love of food, pastries, croissants, and mutual silliness. They’ve been life long friends ever since. Megan is the godmother of Nathalie’s daughter Sofia.

Abbie and Megan met working in the Whole Foods Bakery of Bellevue, Washington many years ago and became fast friends. They’ve experienced a lot of life adventures together since, including Megan traveling to visit Abbie in Ireland while she attended the Lir Academy of Acting in Dublin. Although Megan is the older of the two, she looks up to Abbie as the wiser sister.

After a long, weird search to find a teacher to student teach with, Megan was introduced to Carla by a mutual friend. Upon meeting, Megan knew Carla was the one! After serving as her mentor teacher, Megan was hired onto the same 2nd grade team with Carla and they’ve been working together ever since. As part of their daily routine, Megan enters her classroom through Carla’s door (even though Megan has her own entrance) and yells, “Morning work wife!. Along with being her mentor and work wife, Carla is one of her dearest friends.

The only thing better than a best friend is when she marries one of your other favorite humans on earth—enter Cameron…Nathalies husband. Whether they are hysterically laughing at a shady massage parlor in downtown LA, sharing nacho cheese sauce with questionable strangers, visiting cat cafes or being generally inappropriate in public their time together is never dull.

Peter joined Megan’s family in the summer of 2001 from Germany as an exchange student. Megan however was not exchanged in the deal. She’d begged her parents for an exchange student for years. As luck with have it, Peter and Megan quickly disliked each other and would spend most of the year as mortal enemies. In the years following they would become close friends and laugh at there once rivalry. Megan now lovingly thinks of Peter as family and refers to him as her “German Brother”.

Sofia is the daughter of Nathalie and Cameron, and Megan’s god-daughter. As you can imagine when two of your favorite people on earth make a baby—she’s magic!

Lucy is the daughter of Megan and Joey’s good friends Andrea and Malcom (Joey’s Best Man). She is the sweetest girl, wicked smart and best big sister!

Harrison loves French fries, dump trucks, space and semi circles. He gladly accepted our invite to be flower dude by dumping out the crinkle paper of his gift and putting it in his dump trunk. He is the son of good friends and fellow teacher Alison and Blake Almon.
