I started to notice Hunter during our sophomore year in high school when we were in show choir together.&nbsp;I told my friend David that I thought Hunter was cute, which David then passed onto Hunter. (I assume) Hunter thought likewise of me because I got a text from him the next day. The following&nbsp;weekend we had a show choir competition in Lincoln, Nebraska and we were shy around each other throughout the day. However,&nbsp;Hunter and I&nbsp;talked during the entire four&nbsp;hour&nbsp;bus ride home&nbsp;while the rest of our classmates slept. We shared our first kiss on that show choir bus that night of&nbsp;January 29th, 2011 :)&nbsp;&nbsp;

How we met

I was working the 7pm-7am night shift on July 4th at the hospital, where I&nbsp;work as a post-surgical&nbsp;organ&nbsp;transplant and trauma nurse. Around 10pm that night&nbsp;my charge nurse told me that I&nbsp;had a delivery at the welcome desk by the main entrance of the hospital.&nbsp;I went downstairs to find Hunter sitting in a little lounge area. I thought he was surprising me because we hadn't seen each other for a few days since I&nbsp;had been sleeping during the day in preparation for night shift. He then preceded to tell me that he had had drinks with my parents earlier that evening. I asked him if he had asked for their blessing, because I&nbsp;knew at some point he would be doing so! He said "yes" and then told me I&nbsp;needed to stand up. I realized what was happening and&nbsp;told him "wait, no.&nbsp;Not here, not now" and he said "Yes here, yes now!" and pulled me to my feet. He got on one knee and asked me to marry him and I&nbsp;of course said yes!&nbsp;&nbsp;My co-worker secretly photographed the whole proposal!

Hunter says his biggest goal was to surprise me and he definitely did that!&nbsp;
