Our Wedding

Megan and Lucas met in 2021 through their youth group at Midway Church. As they spent more time together through mutual friends and church events, their friendship began to grow. Megan was first drawn to Lucas by his powerful testimony of coming to know the Lord and his boldness in sharing his faith with others. Lucas, on the other hand, was drawn to Megan by her genuine joy, kindness, and love for those around her.After getting to know one another for several months, they officially began dating on December 17, 2021. Shortly after, Megan graduated from high school and began pursuing her degree at Dallas Baptist University. One year later, Lucas joined her at DBU, where they continued to grow—both in their relationship and alongside their Christ-centered community.After years of dating, prayerful consideration, and countless conversations with trusted community, Lucas knew it was time to propose. On August 1, 2025, he planned a thoughtful engagement that sent Megan on a scavenger hunt filled with all her favorite things. At the end of the day, he met her at the lake by her house and asked her to marry him—and of course, she said yes!As they joyfully anticipate their wedding day, Megan and Lucas reflect with deep gratitude on the Lord’s grace and faithfulness in their lives. Through every season, He has continued shaping their hearts and grounding them in the truth of the Gospel. They are incredibly thankful for the love, prayers, and encouragement of their families, church community, and dear friends who have walked alongside them throughout these years.They eagerly look forward to entering into covenant marriage—a sacred union designed to reflect the love between Christ and His Church—and to beginning this next chapter together for His glory.And they can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
