Megan's version:Once upon a time, there was a girl orchestrating a surprise party for her bestie in Austin. A boy tagged along unexpectedly with friends when he met the girl. Some adventures later, they became official on February 9, 2020. Their journey took them from Aggieland to Austin, Cleveland, back to Austin, and finally to Houston, but through it all, one thing remained constant—his unwavering support of her ambitions. Five incredible years later, in the breathtaking wonders of Banff National Park, the boy asked the ultimate question, and the girl’s answer was a fitting "yes". Santiago's version: Back in 2019, Megan, a hardworking PhD student, decided to throw a birthday party for her ridiculously lucky friend. Little did she know, that night would change her life—because that’s when she met Santiago, a Colombian, civil engineer who somehow managed to look both responsible and fun at the same time. They hit it off, stayed in touch, and a few months later, Santiago slid back into her life with the perfect plan: a concert in Austin. One great night turned into many, and by February 9, 2020, Santiago made it official and asked Megan to be his girlfriend. She said yes (obviously), and they’ve been with each other ever since!
