Some love stories begin with a grand gesture, others with a chance encounter—but ours? It started with a little mischief and a lot of fate. It all began years ago when Megan’s mom, Carol Ann, started working at Manhattan College alongside Michael’s aunt, Margaret. As a kid, Megan was never far from her big brother, Maurice, always tagging along on his adventures. So, whenever Margaret called Michael to let him know Maurice had come to campus, Megan was right behind them—chasing the boys across the college grounds, stirring up trouble, and unknowingly setting the stage for a love story years in the making. Fast forward a decade, and Megan found herself back at Manhattan College—this time as a student. One day, she bumped into Michael at Gaelic Park, and just like that, something clicked. A few days later, fate (and a lost bet with her sister, Jackie) led Megan to send Michael a DM on Instagram. What followed was two years of friendship, filled with late-night conversations, laughter, and just the right amount of playful bickering. Whether they were wandering through Riverdale or Woodlawn, their friends would joke that their time together was an endless cycle of debating and laughing—two strong-willed hearts finding their rhythm. Then, during Megan’s junior year, after what felt like the millionth time Michael asked her out, she finally said yes. And from that moment on, they were inseparable. Since 2019, they’ve been by each other’s side through every twist and turn—graduations, new jobs, loss, fires, first, second, and third apartments, and everything in between. But through it all, one thing remained constant: their love for each other and their shared passion for adventure. Their greatest joy is exploring the world together, with Ireland and London holding a special place in their hearts. So when Michael got down on one knee in London, it was only fitting. Now, they’re beginning the next chapter of their adventure, celebrating their love with a wedding in Ireland—where their story will continue, surrounded by the people they love most.
