Lucas and Megan have known each other for over 10 years. They grew up going to the same high school and the same college, but didn't connect until after college. Lucas joined a bible study that Megan was in, hosted by mutual friends. Lucas started attending and became interested in Megan right away, but waited months to pursue her. Megan pushed it off even longer because she thought it just "made sense". They were in the same friend group and went to church together every week.
