Josh and Megan meet at their campus ministry, Real Life at Ferris State University. During Josh's freshman year, they are in separate community groups, but they interact through serving on the worship team together, Megan on guitar and Josh on drums.

The next year, the two begin to hang out more in smaller groups thanks to the girls of apartment G5, and their best friends, Caitlin and Mitchell, begin dating.

Megan hosts some friends over to her apartment to watch YouTube videos, and while watching Josh's high school ski videos, Megan comments to the group that she would've had a crush on him. What seemed like an innocent comment sparks interest in both of them.

Josh and Megan kept hanging out as friends, but Megan couldn’t help wondering when Josh might finally ask her out. During a ski trip, their friend Mitchell gave Josh the push he needed to make a move.

Megan graduates from Ferris and Josh meets Megan's parents. The two begin long-distance as Megan moves to Raleigh and Josh starts a summer internship surveying through the Midwest.

Another trip to Asheville to hike NC's highpoint, they then did SC's highpoint the next day! Megan never knew what highpointing was before Josh, she isn't quite as passionate as he is but it did feel good to complete two high points in two days.

Another summer of trips to Michigan to celebrate friends getting married, only this time Megan and Josh get to travel together! 2 years of distance and countless plane tickets, yet it's only this summer that they fly together.
