We may be biased because we live in this neighborhood, but the River Market is just the best! Some of our favorite spots include City Market Coffee for our weekend pick-me-ups, Carollo’s Deli for authentic Italian subs, Operahouse for the best spicy Bloody Mary in KC, and Betty Rae’s for a sweet treat to end the day! If you’re staying in KC for the weekend, be sure to check out the Farmer’s Market on Saturday or Sunday morning. You can also take KC’s free Streetcar from the River Market into downtown.

Boulevard is a KC classic! They offer $10 tours that include free tastings, or you can hit the Beer Hall to try the Pale Ale (Megan’s favorite), Space Camper IPA (Ryan’s favorite), a classic Boulevard Wheat, or a huge variety of other local beverages, including cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

The Royals are playing at home on our wedding weekend! Catch them playing the Cleveland Guardians at 6:15pm on Saturday night or 1:15pm on Sunday afternoon.

Our wedding venue isn’t the only fun thing in the Crossroads Arts District! Some of our other favorite spots in the area include Casual Animal Brewery for a happy hour beer, Afterword Tavern and Shelves for espresso martinis, coffee, or books, the Wise Guy for a fancy date night, Percheron Rooftop for cocktails and an amazing view of the city, and Green Lady Lounge for live jazz.
