While swiping on Tinder, Dave stumbled upon Megan for what he claims is a second time. After some small banter a date was set for drinks. Dave arrived first much to Megan's chagrin and knew Megan was something special as soon as she asked him what he had for breakfast. After dating for a few weeks, Dave officially asked Megan to be his girlfriend after an Eagles game. Megan responded with "ok" after what felt like the longest pause ever (literally 30 seconds) while she mulled over a decision she had no idea would change her life. From there, we grew closer together eventually adopting a cat, Cheerio, moving in together in Danville, and then taking a big leap and moving out to Pittsburgh followed by adopting the cutest and most energetic dog, Duncan. Dave decided to propose in 2022 after 4 years of dating on a hike through Ohiopyle. Dave hid Megan's engagement ring in her backpack and she carried it around all day unknowingly. We celebrated with mall hibachi and have been looking forward to this big day ever since!

How Megan Met Dave

While swiping on Tinder, Megan came across a profile of a man who went by the name, "Milky". Understandably, it was a hard no for that. Several weeks later, with little luck in the dating world of central Pennsylvania, Milky reappeared and Megan gave him a chance this go around. After dating for a few weeks, Dave decided the most romantic gesture was going to an Eagles game and popping the "Wanna go steady?" question. She had to mull it over, because she suspected the answer might change her life. From there, Megan convinced Dave that he absolutely needed a cat and made sure they found the cutest kitten who would proceed to wreak their sleep for years to come with her habit of scratching at things in the middle of the night. Of course, we then needed a dog who only added to the chaos. And our little family was set. Dave popped the question in 2022, right after a giant hike in Ohiopyle. Megan, glistening with sweat and dirt, said "Ok" once again. Dave made romantic dinner plans to celebrate with a family of strangers at a hibachi restaurant. To quote the dad of that family, "OOF? Marriage? Good luck, man!"

Dave's Copilot

Megan and Abby were freshman year roommates, and Megan has been obsessed with her ever since. Likes: Green beans, seasonal cocktails, turtles, boats, Jack Johnson, literature, late night renditions of Ice Ice Baby, and hopefully Megan even when this is all said and done.
Dislikes: Blueberries, Montezuma Tequila, and all the nicknames Megan has bestowed upon her.

Dave met Tim his freshman year of college and things have been downhill since. Over 15 years of antics, trouble, late nights, trips and adventures, and stubborn debates, Milky and Tim have been great friends through it all.

Megan's Day 1. The one all the sisters call when things go wrong. Likes: tattoos, dogs, ALL the plants, Marvel movies, and Disney World. Dislikes: high shelves, sharing her french fries, and the rising cost of medicine.

James and Milky were randomly paired together as roommates in 2010. After awkward hellos, they started crushing beers and became quick friends. Dave got James hooked on running and ever since James has been dragging Dave into crazy runs including ultra-marathons, 4x4x48s, and midnight runs through Alabama.

Sarah and Megan met at freshman orientation and immediately were stuck like glue to one another. Likes: Monkeys, margaritas, dogs, library dance parties, tacos, charades, and Phil Collins.
Dislikes: 8 am classes, any hypothetical questions, and people who leave dishes in the drying rack for too long.

On Dave's first night of college, Dan walked by his dorm room and asked him to join him and some friends for dinner. Little did they know that trip to the Commons would result in 3 years of living together, numerous vacations around the country, and a lifelong friendship.

The perfect princess little baby is now someone Megan aspires to be when she grows up. Likes: nature, good vegan snacks, hyping everyone up, and doggos. Dislikes: sharing kitchen space, when someone doesn't answer the group facetime, and being called perfect princess little baby.

Mudit was a late addition to Dave's life after he moved to Danville in 2017. Their first time hanging out was showing Mudit how to roast smores. Mudes started to climb with the group and then got hooked on options. They have been commiserating together as they lost their investments ever since.

Becca and Megan met at a study group one evening and shut down parties (no literally get out) together senior year #responsiblecollegestudents. 
Likes: sunsets, climbing trees, basically any and every animal you can think of, baking, and puddle jumping.
Dislikes: gluten, dog parks, and competitive board games.

Dave met D$ through some mutual friends at a softball tourney in 2014. They played horribly, but had a great after party. They have been going to concerts, climbing, hitting up breweries and trading stocks in the years since.

The other half of team spazz, Lauren was and is the only lab partner for Megan. 
Likes: home projects, cooking, empowering women, the 'Burgh, STEM, and a well executed plan.
Dislikes: bullies, misogyny, microbiology, and saying no to plans.

DJ had a role in interviewing and hiring Dave at his first big boy job. DJ knew Dave was a gem in the rough when he started making jokes during the interview. Their work relationship evolved into late nights at the Pub, living together at the Rage Castle, and cheering for the Eagles.

DJ Linde

Once Megan's arch nemesis, both are surprised to learn that they like each other in adulthood. Hell yeah brother. Likes: surprises, scaring people, cider and or wine slushies, and chickens. Dislikes: answering group facetime calls, when someone sends too many internet memes, and being late.

Dan and Dave were colleagues at Geisinger and grew their friendship outside of work when they discovered rock climbing at Milton Rock Gym (MRG). They share a common love for float trips, board games, and trading stocks. They talk nearly every day via their Tendies chat like the nerds they are.

Dan Boland Rocha (DBR)

Dave and Dani met at Geisinger and became friends through work while sharing common interests such as craft beer, running, and hot dogs. They have spent the past 4 years enjoying life in the 'Burgh by enjoying breweries, biking the city, and playing board games.

What is a cookie table? Exactly what it sounds like! Rather than the typical wedding cake for dessert, Pittsburgh tradition is to serve a huge table full of cookies! As soon as we heard of this, we were all in. It instantly reminded us of having cookies at grandma's house. These cookies have traditionally been prepared by friends and family of the bride and groom. Megan and Dave are asking if any friends and family would be interested in helping us prepare a few dozen of the few thousand cookies that will be on display for the reception.
