This event is black tie optional, but we highly encourage you to dress your best!
Men should wear a tuxedo or suit. For women, we recommend you wear a floor or semi-floor length gown. Jump-suits are acceptable.
Are children allowed?
Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair. Thank you for your understanding.
What time should I arrive to the wedding?
Please arrive at 6pm. The Adler Planetarium is located at 1300 S DuSable Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60605.
Chicago can get very busy during holiday weekends, so please give yourself plenty of time to arrive. Our venue has one of the best views of downtown Chicago, so you'll want some time to see it before the ceremony begins!
How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided? Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Getting to the Wedding:
All of our hotel blocks are approximately a 10 minute drive to the wedding venue. To get to the wedding venue, we recommend you take a Lyft, Uber, or Taxi. They will be readily available since all our hotel blocks are in downtown Chicago.
Chicago is always a busy city, but there will be many events happening in the city during Labor Day weekend. Please allow plenty of extra time to arrive with Chicago traffic!
To return to your hotel at the end of the wedding, we recommend an Uber, Lyft, or Taxi. Because we are in a big city, there will be plenty of cars available to get you after the wedding.
Parking:
If you are planning to park your car at the Adler Planetarium, please let us know in advance. There is very limited street parking on E Solidarity Dr. that is metered parking, but we have reserved a limited number of parking spots at the surface lot near the venue for 40$ per spot for the evening. We will need to know in advance if you are planning to drive, so we can reserve the appropriate number of spots.
What should we expect day of?
The ceremony will be held outside if weather permits. The remainder of the wedding will be indoors.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party will all take place at the Adler Planetarium. Once you arrive, sit back and relax - we have the rest covered.
