I'm sure everyone has heard the saying I felt fireworks when we kissed. Well, our story starts on the fourth of July.

Corben was part of a neighborhood tradition of setting off fireworks each year. In 2017 he invited Megan to come to be a part of it, but in typical Megan stubborn fashion (as Corben likes to call it) she tried to get out of it. After several times of his asking, she finally decided to go.

Megan arrived right when they were setting the daytime (as they called it) fireworks off and was asked if she would like to help. Of course not waiting to pass up an opportunity to set off fireworks she agreed. Throughout the night of setting things off, they got to know each other. As the grand finale was being set up to go off and everyone was assigned their position, Corben conveniently placed himself beside Megan (like she wouldn't notice) and as the finale show was lit, Corben finally made his move and leaned in for a kiss.

After the mess was partially cleaned up, they went for a drive and chatted about life, bonded over music, and poked fun at each other's sports teams. Corben is a Duke/Wake fan and Megan is a UNC fan (if you're from NC you understand the struggle). As Corben likes to say it's been fireworks ever since.
