Doug and I met our freshman year of college at Samford University. We’ve been roommates for four years and best friends since. We’ve spent a lot of time hanging out and tackling the issues you face as a young adult. I often say that I’ve learned more in college from Doug and I debating than anything else. Doug and Megan’s love is truly inspiring and I can’t wait to watch it grow over the years.

From the days when we were little and I would hear her talk about her dream wedding, it’s incredible to think it’s finally coming true. Doug and I had been friends since freshman year of college eventually rooming together the year after. We somehow lived ten minutes away from each other and never knew! He has taught me a lot about life and has been one of the nicest friends I’ve ever had.

I met Doug my freshmen year of college where I accidentally quarantined him and Andrew and Jared because I got Covid right before our freshman retreat, forcing us to be stuck inside for 2 weeks. Ever since then, he hasn’t been able to get rid of me since. We have been roommates for over 3 years now and he has been with me through thick and thin. He’s a goat (and Megan is cool too).

Doug has been a great friend of mine since the summer before our freshmen year of high school. Between both of us being new to the school and team it was easy for us to become friends right away. Since then we have been on a family beach together, on a boy’s trip with some of the other groomsmen, and started a club in high school. Doug has been a great friend for advice and has always been there when needed. He’s a loyal friend, you couldn’t ask for any better. Congrats to Doug and Megan!

I am a 4th-year aerospace engineering student at Georgia Tech. I met Doug through the high school football team and we became close after Doug and the rest of the crew took part in a failed attempt to kidnap me.

Since then, she has always known how to make me laugh and bring up my mood when I am down, which I will always be grateful for. One thing Megan is sure to do when you first meet her is to mention Doug and by the end of your first conversation, you will feel as though you are on a first-name basis with him even though you have never met. Luckily, Doug lives up to all the hype Megan presents him as. Now, in our apartment, Doug has joined in on our movie nights and humors me in hours-long discussions about it afterward to Sam and Megan’s distain. Seeing the way Megan’s face still lights up every time she brings him up always makes my day and knowing firsthand how hard she loves the people in her life confirms that she and Doug’s love is sure to never waver. Doug and I met as freshmen in high school on the football team. From there, I knew we’d turn out to be great friends. Whether it was late-night wiffle ball games, watching him destroy players in Madden, or going on trips together, Doug is someone who is always fun to have around and a lifelong friend. Hey!!! I’m Ellie and I met the soon-to-be Davis's through Samford University! I met Doug our freshman year through some mutual friends and are now coming up on three years of friendship! Doug introduced me to Megan a couple of times in passing over the years but Megan and I were really able to connect on a trip to Florida this past year where she became a fast and close friend who I cherish so deeply!!! I’ve been fortunate enough to witness so much of their relationship over the past couple of years and can’t wait to see them grow on their new adventure together!

Doug started out as a football teammate and grew into so much more than that. He has a mind for numbers and statistics that continues to amaze me. As the voice of reason for the Band of Brothers, Doug keeps all of us level headed and from making bonehead decisions. His advice never wavered, from college football to relationships, he is always the expert. Doug and Megan’s relationship is all we hope to accomplish, so his dating advice was often sought out. Many heartaches could have been prevented by going to Doug more often. Congratulations Doug and Megan!

Doug and I met a little over six years ago in the summer of 2018. We met as freshmen at football workouts before our first year of high school and we got along well and enjoyed arguing with each other over football and whether the south or northwest was better. But we really became close during the end of our Junior year when covid hit. With nothing else to do with our time Doug, Evan and I we’d drive around arguing about anything and everything and listen to some great music. Since then we’ve remained very close going through many life events from graduations to group trips and now seeing him and Megan get married. I am so happy for Doug and Megan and can’t wait to celebrate with them. Congrats Doug and Megan!

Doug has been a great friend to me for the longest time. We became close friends in the summer before senior year when he and others welcomed me into the friend group with open arms. Between our love of all things football we became very close and I am blessed to call Doug one of my closest friends. Since then we have been on many trips together with the guys and gone to many sporting events.
