What will our wedding-day timeline look like?
The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. Please arrive approximately 30 minutes prior for time to park and find your seats! After the ceremony, cocktail hour will begin. Please enjoy hor d’oeuvres, games and music while the bridal party takes some pictures. At 6:00pm, dinner will be served buffet style. The evening will be filled with toasts, singing, dancing and much more!
What is the dress code?
Casual Wedding Attire.
Think along the lines of "business casual." PLEASE DO NOT WEAR SOLID WHITE. Generally, this means clothing items like jeans, shorts, tank tops, flip-flops and athleisure are off-limits. Otherwise, you have a lot of options (unlike more structured dress codes like black tie, cocktail or even semi-formal attire).
Suggestions: women- nice sundress, a jumpsuit or a two-piece outfit. Men- pants and a blazer with no tie, or maybe no jacket at all, or a nice shirt and pair of slacks.
Feel free to dress in layers if you get too hot or too cold; granted, we never know what Oregon will throw at us. Also, feel free to bring an extra pair of shows in case your feet hurt dancing in heels!
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held at Postlwait's Country Weddings in Canby, Oregon. We hope for an outdoor ceremony and indoor/outdoor reception. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the Oregon weather behaves!
How do I get to the wedding venue?
You can take either I-5 or Hwy 99. Both will take you to Woodburn and on backroads to the venue from there.
What does the parking and bathroom situation look like?
There is plenty of parking at the venue, but we recommend carpooling if possible. The restrooms are very clean, large, and ADA-accessible.
What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
Thai Woodburn will be catering for both the cocktail hour and reception offering delicious appetizers and build your own entrees. There will be vegetarian options. There will be a selection of drinks including Postlewait's wine!
Where should I stay?
Take a look at our travel page. We have listed a few hotels that are within a 20-minute range of the venue. We will not be doing a room-block.
