Our Wedding

Tyler and Megan initially met through a summer lifeguarding job, when they were in highschool. Although they had the occasional overlapping shifts, their story doesn't begin until the summer of 2015.

That summer, Megan and Tyler began talking regularly and spending more and more time together. After a quick three weeks, it was time to back to college, a thousand miles apart from one another. Megan went to the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois, and Tyler was at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Although some would chalk this up as a summer fling, Megan and Tyler jumped right into frequent visits and talking daily. Before they knew it, it was a full-blown long-distance relationship filled with 6:00AM Frontier flights, and long travel days just to spend a weekend together (and let's be honest, frequent trips to Colorado weren't so bad). Megan and Tyler decided to make it official in December of 2015, and have been together ever since.

The summer between junior and senior year of college, Megan got a job at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO and Tyler got a job in Fort Collins, CO, so they could spend a summer together hiking and spending time in the state they both loved. Megan and Tyler knew one day they would live in Colorado together. Until then, back to long-distance to finish school.

After graduation, Tyler moved back to Illinois so that Megan could complete her two-year teaching obligation. Within days of hitting the two-year mark, Megan and Tyler packed up and moved to Fort Collins, CO where where they have since lived with their dog, Tosh.

Their last few years have been filled with long hikes, road trips, lots of camping, brewery tours, evening paddleboarding, and a whole lot of laughter. In July 2021, Megan and Tyler purchased their first home in Fort Collins. In October 2021, Tyler proposed to Megan on a hike overlooking the Rocky Mountains, a place special to both of them.

We are so excited to have you all join us for our mountain wedding in June and cannot wait to celebrate in a place that feels so special to us, Estes Park! Thank you all for being a part of our journey, now, let the countdown begin! XOXO, Megan &amp; Tyler

Hotels and cabins book up quickly in Estes Park, so we recommend booking your stay in advance! We do not have a designated hotel block, as pricing and length of stay vary for everyone! Below are a few recommendations but there are plenty of options in the area!

Denver International Airport is about an hour and a half from Estes Park! From the airport, there is the option to take an Uber/Lyft, rental car, or shuttle! Please note, that the shuttle will need to be booked in advance.

For guests staying at The Stanley Hotel1, The Ridgeline Hotel2, or River Stone Resorts &amp; Bear Paw Suites3, a shuttle with limited availability will transport guests at the end of the night. If you plan to stay elsewhere, please note you will be responsible for your own transportation. Della Terra does allows for overnight parking.&nbsp; Please know there are no Ubers/Lyft in Estes Park, so please plan accordingly!

The Stanley Hotel is an iconic Estes Park landmark. It is most popularly known from the movie, The Shining, and its whiskey bar. A fun option to stay at or check out while in the area!

The Ridgeline Hotel is a popular option for Estes Park visitors. It is about 10 minutes from the venue and walking distance from downtown Estes Park.

Another great option if you are looking to make a weekend out of our wedding weekend! There are 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom options with a kitchen and living space. The cabins are a 5-minute drive from the venue, but please note there is a 3-night minimum in the summer!

River Stone Resorts and Bear Paw Suites

There are many Airbnb's in Estes Park available for rental and are great for larger groups to keep cost down. I would recommend booking early because June is busy in Estes Park!

If you are planning to make a trip out of our wedding weekend, we recommend Boulder Brook! These rooms offer mini kitchens and living space. Boulder Brook is one of many cabin suites in Estes Park, but this one has a beautiful creek running nearby!

For a Colorado cabin feel, check out Estes Lake Lodge. This hotel is on Lake Estes and overlooks the lake and the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

Estes Park has no shortage of things to do, whether that is getting outside for a hike or grabbing a beer! Here are a few of our favorite ways to spend a weekend in town! In order to enter Rocky Mountain National Park you must have a Timed Entry Ticket purchased ahead of time. These become available on May 1st. Hikes

A 2-mile round trip hike inside Rocky Mountain National Park. With minimal elevation, it is a great spot to check out!

Dream Lake

Loch Lake is a great half-day hike as it's about 5.5 miles! Along the way, you pass multiple lakes within Rocky Mountain National Park!

If you are feeling adventurous, we recommend Sky Pond in Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike is 9.5 miles and is a great option if you are looking for an all-day hike. Be sure you are prepared with rain gear and snacks!

Trail Ridge Road is a great way to see awesome Rocky Mountain views, without having to hike! The drive goes through the park all the way up to the continental divide. Just make sure you have enough gas in your car before heading up!

Boss Burgers and Gyros

Don't knock it, till you try it! Although it appears to be located inside the gas station, it is actually within a great mini-mart right outside the Rocky Mountain entrance. This deli is a staple for us and if anything, a good spot to stock up on hotel snacks!
