Alena is Megan's older sister and best friend. Although living in Newfoundland, Alena never fails to send multiple photos a day of her cat Kit every day. Megan always wanted to be exactly like Alena growing up. Megan wanted to watch the same shows, play the same sports, and wear the same clothes, which is ironic because Alena would always steal hers. Alena is, and has always been, Megan's biggest supporter and cheerleader. Alena is always just a phone call away ready to listen.

Ellen and Megan met at preschool and have been best friends ever since. They have gone through all life's milestones together, from awkward junior high years to engagement rings. Ellen has always been Megan's go to travel buddy, whether on a mountain trip to the alps or a beach trip to the Caribbean. Megan had the pleasure of standing next to Ellen on her wedding day last year and she is so excited to have Ellen to stand next to her now!

Sara and Megan became friends because of their sisters. They have been best friends for so long that neither of them really know when they actually met. Growing up, Sara and Megan had some interesting ways of keeping eachother entertained. From wearing every article of clothing and sumo wrestling, to making slip and slides in the kitchen. Sara and Megan have a forever kind of friendship that Megan is incredibly thankful for.

Tanis was assigned to be Megan's roommate at a school camp 16 years ago. She quickly became one of Megan's best friends, bonding over our obsession with the series F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Although Tanis has lived all over Canada and Europe, they remained close friends through it all. Luckily, Tanis is back in Dartmouth and here to stay!

Kerri and Megan met in 2020 when Megan was fortunate to have Kerri as her final preceptor in nursing. Kerri taught Megan everything she knows about how to be an amazing nurse. After graduation they became coworkers and then best friends. Kerri moved into the same building as Nick and Megan and became their honorary third wheel. You'll find Kerri breaking it down on the dance floor until the very end of the night

Nick and Alex met in grade three and have been best friends since. Whether it was shooting pucks in Alex’s garage, playing road hockey, or hanging out at one of each other’s houses they spent a lot of time together. They both attended St.FX, where they lived four doors apart in MacIsaac Hall. Where a lot of good memories were made. It is the type of friendship where each other’s houses felt like home. Nick is grateful that he has had Alex as a best friend for all these years, and when he proposed to Megan, there was no doubt Hazy would be his best man.

Patrick is Nick’s older, yet smaller brother. Nick has always wanted to do the opposite of what Pat did but for whatever reason, would end up following the similar path as Pat. The same university, the same NHL team, & profession. They have had a lot of awesome trips together. They share a lot of the same hobbies and interests including golf, where there is lots of healthy competition. In fact, no matter what they are doing it always turns competitive somehow. Nick is thankful that he has Pat as an older brother, that he can always count on no matter what and as a person to look up to.

Nick is not exactly when or how he and Colin became friends. Colin was recently one of Nick’s professional references while applying to obtain his CPA letters as it couldn’t be family and it had to be a CPA who he has known for at least two years. On the application it asked how long they had known each other, and both couldn’t figure it out, so 20 years was decided upon. Colin is one of Nick’s best friends and they spend a lot of time together whether it’s playing golf, watching sports or taking road trips. Colin has been one of Nick’s closest friends and is thrilled that he is standing for him. One thing is for sure it is never quiet when Colin is there.

Robbie and Nick have been friends for what seems like forever. Growing up, Robbie and Nick spent a lot of time together, whether it was going out for lunch, golfing, or just having a beer. They have taken a lot of trips together where there are a lot of good memories, especially the trips to Montreal & Nashville. Nick and Robbie have even lived together, and Robbie was one the first friends that was carefully picked to be introduced to Megan. Nick was honoured to stand next to Robbie on his wedding day and is so excited he gets to return the favour. He is thankful to call Robbie one of his best friends, who he can count on him for anything, and could not imagine having Robbie standing alongside him.

Clark and Nick met in high school, where they became instant friends. Clark is one of those friends that you meet and it’s as if you have known them your entire life. Since then, a lot of Nick’s most memorable trips Clark was involved, whether it was a school grad trip to Dominican or visiting Clark in Montreal. Clark (and Robbie) was there the night that Nick and Megan first planned on meeting, and is the reason for the Sporty name, Megan is known to Nick’s friends as. Clark is a friend you can count on for anything and Nick is thrilled that he is standing a long side him.
