Megan Ashley Smith

Megan was born at IVCH in La Salle, Illinois on 07/11/1995 to Llew and Laura Smith. She is the oldest of 4 kids (2 brothers - Mitchell and Adam and 1 sister - Allison). Megan played sports throughout her childhood but loved spending most of her time babysitting, which she still does on occasion. She attended Morton High School, Illinois Central College, and then OSF St. Francis College of Nursing for her BSN. She started a new nursing job on 3/13/2023 (yes, during wedding planning) with Elevance Health. It is a fully remote (work from home) position! She has a mini goldendoodle named Finley who is 3-years old. She loves to travel and has been to 14 countries. She owns a house in Morton (Pumpkin Capital of the World!). Megan loves sweets, especially ice cream!

Steven Edward Johnson (SJ)

Steven (or SJ as friends and Megan's family know him) was born in Galesburg, Illinois on 02/28/1989 to Edward and Debbie Johnson. He has 1 younger sister, Michelle. SJ worked at a golf course growing up and also loved spending time with his Grandma J. He graduated from Kewanee High School (with the titles of best hair and best dressed his senior year). He received his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria and currently is in his twelfth year at Caterpillar as an Electrification Hydraulic Systems engineer. He has a 7-year old black lab mix dog named Gunner. He owns a house in Metamora. SJ loves to spend his time hanging out with his friends, working on house projects, 3D printing, and eating Geo's Pizza.

Finley & Gunner

Finley and Gunner were very unsure of each other in the beginning (mostly Gunner being unsure of Finley's playful nature due to the age difference). They have quickly become great buddies and are often found snuggling close together or fighting over who gets to snuggle with SJ on the couch. They both love playing fetch and Gunner is hardly ever found without a ball.
