Things to do in beautiful Nova Scotia

The Bay of Fundy
-There are multiple ways to experience the Bay of Fundy. With the highest tides in the world The Bay of Fundy is around 170 miles long. Water levels rise, and fall by as much as 48 feet everyday.
When the tide runs out, the channels become veins of red mud reflecting the erosion of the outcrops of red sandstone and shale along the coast. Its shores are indented by numerous coves and several large deepwater harbors. The rising tide produces a “reversing falls”.

Wineries

-Nova Scotia has a long and rich tradition of growing grapes for wine that dates back to the 1600s, when this was one of the first areas to cultivate grapes in North America. The climate and soil conditions in Nova Scotia favour unique and distinctive grape varietals. Taste L’Acadie Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Lucie Kuhlmann, New York Muscat, and Baco Noir on a patio overlooking a vineyard.

Take a picture and or make a phone call anywhere in the world in the classic red telephone booth at Luckett’s Vineyards! There are many Orchard’s to visit as well!

Our favorite wineries to visit are Luckett Vineyards, Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards & Benjamin Bridge

Beaches

- With over 13,300 km of coastline, Nova Scotia has an abundance of beautiful beaches. Unwind with the rolling waves and breathe in the salty air.

Some of our favorite beaches are Clam Harbour, Martinique Beach Provincial Park and the best for last Crescent Beach where we actual got engaged...

Halifax Waterfront

- A must do in Halifax involves a stroll along the vibrant Halifax waterfront. Check out the many bars, restaurants, shops, entertainment, and museums or just sit awhile and take in the bustling harbour activity.

Halifax Citadel National Historic Site

-Originally built as a military fortification to protect the Empire from enemies (and the occasional pirate), today the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and its distinctive Clock Tower act as a reminder of Halifax’s rich past, right in the heart of the city.

Lunenburg

- Lunenburg is one of only two urban communities in North America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Seventy percent of the original colonial buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries continue to greet visitors with their colorful façades.

Wander Old Town Lunenburg’s distinctive waterfront with its colorful buildings and listen for salty tales of seafaring and rum-running and discover a charming town filled with amazing restaurants, distilleries, breweries, artisans and unique shops. Stop and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to explore and learn about the past and present of Nova Scotia's fishing industry
