Sometime before school began (she can't actually remember the date), Megan earnestly prayed for God to send her a man that she could love and be loved by. Someone who would make her laugh, who she could confide in, who she could support, and who she could follow Jesus side by side with. She had never dated anyone before, but she decided to make a covenant with God. As a sign of her trust in God's ability to write her love story, she vowed not to enter a "committed, boyfriend-girlfriend" relationship until her 20th birthday that coming January.

We met on the 3rd floor of the Todd Hall art building at MTSU, waiting for our classroom door to be opened. We became fast friends at the beginning of the semester, and we continued getting to know each other year continued. #graphicdesignmajors

The first time we spent time together outside of class (and what we now consider our "first date"), we went line dancing with friends from Raiders for Christ at MTSU. (Megan invited him!)

A few months later, we were already meeting each other's families at Christmas parties. It was pretty obvious that we both liked each other at this point, and Megan was both excited and anxious. She hadn't told Andrew about her relationship-ban covenant with God, and she was nervous that he might ask her to be his girlfriend before her birthday.

But she didn't need to worry! The day AFTER Megan's 20th birthday, Andrew took her on a date to dinner and a movie, Passengers, where he asked to hold her hand for the first time. After driving her home that night, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Of course, she said, "Yes!" She had trusted God to write her love story, and He timed everything PERFECTLY! God's timing is always perfect.

We were each other's first relationship, and our love continued to grow over time!

Back to the Barn Dance! It was cancelled in 2017, so we were really excited to go back to the place of our "first date!"

The graphic design major is not for the faint of heart. The all-nighters and long projects were brutal at times, but we know that everything is #bettertogether!

We survived 2020 hand in hand! Quarantining away from each other for nearly 4 weeks in a row was one of the hardest parts.

Four years and some change, our relationship entered the new year stronger than ever.

A regular date disguised as a night we will never forget! Andrew rented out a room in our favorite family-owned theater, unbeknownst to Megan. As we watched the movie (Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn), our families snuck in behind us. When the movie ended, the lights came on, and Andrew got down on one knee. He pulled off the surprise of a lifetime, and she SAID YES! We can't get over how well the whole evening turned out. Like we said before: God's timing is always perfect!
