Here's what to expect during our Wedding Weekend: FRIDAY, APRIL 25TH, 2025 WELCOME DINNER6:00 PM - 10:00 PMThe Barrel251 Moraine AveEstes Park, CO 80517 This is a casual welcome dinner, hosted by Pat and Patricia Langan, for all guests who would like to attend.Transportation will be provided to guests staying at one of the hotels listed on our Accommodations page. There are also two parking lots on either side of the Barrel and street parking along Moraine Ave. SATURDAY, APRIL 26TH, 2025 WEDDING CEREMONY1:00 PMSt. Catherine's Chapel on the Rock10758 CO-7Allenspark, CO 80510 Attire: semi formal attire suggested Transportation will not be provided to the ceremony but all guests are welcome to attend (max church capacity 75 people). There is a parking lot located next to the church and overflow street parking is allowed.

How to get to Colorado

There are two airports you can fly into: Denver International Airport and Northern Colorado Regional Airport. Please reach out to Megan or Richard if you are open to car pooling and we can help connect you with other guests.

Will transportation be provided throughout the weekend?

Transportation will be provided to and from the Welcome Dinner, Wild Basin reception, and Wheel Bar after party from the hotels listed on our Accommodations page. Please see the Weekend Transportation Details page for additional information. Unfortunately as noted above, there is no Uber or Lyft in Estes Park. The only private transportation services available are <a href="https://exploreestes.com/estes-park-ride-service/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Explore Estes</a> and <a href="https://concierge-of-estes-park.square.site/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Estes Park Ride Share</a>. They will pick you up right from your location and drop you off at your destination. However, please keep in mind their services can book up quickly. Estes Park is small and very walkable. You're in the fresh mountain air, enjoy it!

The Stanley Hotel offers four hotel types. Are children welcome?

Yes! We want our guests to use our wedding as a vacation weekend. However, we would like to keep our reception as an Adults Only event. If you are planning on bringing children out to Colorado and need help finding childcare during the reception, please reach out to Megan or Richard.

Is Altitude Sickness real?

Yes! Altitude sickness is a very real condition that happens when your body has trouble adjusting to lower oxygen availability at high elevation. How to Adjust to Altitude: 1. Drink Lots of Water. As you gain altitude, your body tends to lose water and salt faster than you're used to.2. Reduce Your Exercise - we can always find you a ride3. Get Enough Sleep4. Limit Your Alcohol Intake (see #1 again)5. Increase Your Potassium Levels6. Protect Yourself From the Sun7. Consume More Calories (we've got you covered on this one!)

What will the weather be like in the mountains?

April is one of the snowiest months in Estes Park, with a 36% chance of snow each day. While the days are slowly getting warmer, averaging around 50°F (10°C), the nights can still dip to around 25°F (-4°C) with wind speeds nearing 15mph (24km/h). Expect a mix of sunshine and snow. With warmer weather, the snow tends to melt faster, leaving spring slush on the ground. Embrace the unpredictability and prepare for the possibility of sudden snowstorms, even during sunny days!

Friday, April 25th, 2025

Designated Pick Up Locations: Estes Park Resort, The Stanley Hotel ( at Colorado Cherry Company Entrance), and The Holiday Inn Starting Pick Up Time Before Welcome Dinner: 5:30 pm - 6:30 pmStarting Pick Up Time After Welcome Dinner: 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm One 14 passenger van will transport guests from designated pick up locations to the Welcome Dinner. All guests must be ready at 5:30 pm at each designated pick up location. *Look for a white van labeled Estes Park Shuttle. The shuttle will be located at the main entrance of the Estes Park Resort and the Holiday Inn. For the Stanley hotel pick up, it will be outside of the Colorado Cherry Company Entrance (on the side of the main hotel)* If the van arrives at designated locations, and guests are not ready, the van will depart without guests. The van will continue to make additional loops to pick up locations until 6:30 pm.

Designated Pick Up Locations &amp; Times:Estes Park Resort - 3:30 pmThe Stanley Hotel (at the Aspire Hotel Entrance) - 3:40 pmThe Holiday Inn - 3:50 pm One 56 passenger van will transport guests from designated pick up locations to the Wild Basin reception. All guests must be ready at the times noted above as there will only be one pickup per location. *The shuttle will be located at the main entrance of the Estes Park Resort and the Holiday Inn. For the Stanley hotel pick up, it will be outside of the Aspire Hotel* Designated Drop off Locations &amp; Times:Departing Wild Basin at 10:05 pm to the Wheel Bar and designated hotels: Estes Park Resort, the Stanley Hotel and the Holiday Inn. The shuttle will continue as needed between the Wheel Bar and the designated hotels. Final departure from the Wheel Bar to the designated hotels will be 2:00 am.
