It all started for Megan and Kyle 10 years ago at a restaurant in Columbus called Boston’s. Becca, a mutual friend who worked with Kyle at Boston’s, had plans with a friend that night and decided to get dinner beforehand. What Kyle didn’t realize at the time was that his future wife would be sitting in his section at table 301. What he did realize at the time was that she was beautiful, and way out of his league.

As I’m sure you’re thinking, there is a gap of a few years in this story that needs to be told. While Megan and Kyle’s story might not have immediately led to a relationship, a lot still happened. It all seemingly fated to bring them back to each other to form a friendship that had no choice but to lead to lifetime together. Whether it was a few shared texts that would lead them to dancing together all night at BBR, or even Kyle moving into Megan’s old room at Becca’s (not without a few sassy texts to each other about who owes the last month’s rent), they didn’t even have to try. It was destined that they were going to be a part of each other’s lives.

Some years they’d see a lot of each other, some years they wouldn’t see each other at all. On June 25th, 2018 though, they’d see each other for the first time, for the last time. The next day was the shared birthday of their parents, which was the perfect excuse for Kyle to text Megan. Kyle cleverly reminded Megan not to forget to tell her Mom happy birthday, as he also couldn’t forget to tell his dad the same. This one text led to what would become years of them growing closer and closer. Sharing Spotify music all day mostly everyday to get through working hours, talking on the phone far too late into the night, there was no slowing down. Sparks flew for the next year as they’d spend Sunday nights at Rumba Cafe dancing along to Hoodoo Soul Band or going to happy hours at any of the local Columbus breweries.

It took a while for them to make things official. Some might even say that Kyle was friend-zoned for that first year before they both finally wised-up to the fact that this was meant to be. They finally made it official in May of 2019, shortly thereafter they would buy a house and make it a home along with Megan’s sweet dog Jules.

A few years go by, and Kyle knew it was time to ask Megan to marry him. Two rings, two cats, changing plans, and a stolen car later, Kyle asked Megan to marry him with their new little kitten, Ringo. Megan said “yes!” and now they continue to write their story, now with you all joining the next chapter.
