Over the years we have found one another in the background of old photos and videos from college but the first time we officially met was at a cheap mexican restaurant as we sat across from each other after the infamous first Hayseed at the Library. Fast forward to February 2014, two of our best friends were getting married and we were lucky enough to be included in their wedding. We were paired to walk together which would lead to our first interaction since sharing our first bowl of queso in 2012. Megan is never shy or at a loss for words but when being escorted by Patrick she managed to be both. Patrick was focused on using proper escort form and how his text would be worded after getting Megan's number from the groom later than night. Megan mentioned to her mom the next day she had a crush on her escort (but little did she know he would one day be her son-in-law). The wedding went off without a hitch and we made our way to the reception where Patrick played hard to get most of the night until Megan so boldly took matters in her own hands and asked, "Are you going to ask me to dance, or what?" The year after was spent traveling six hours each way on I-20 until it became evident a move was necessary. Megan moved to Atlanta to make it her new home and two years later we are both very appreciative it only takes 20 minutes to see each other.
