Our Wedding

Megan and Will's story begins like many others... They attended the same high school, though a few years apart. They had friends of friends in the same circles, but had not yet connected other than the occasional passing in the hall. In 2016, they finally "matched" and had a few dates, but eventually fell out of touch. Neither was ready to settle down, but the spark was lit and the foundation was laid. Over the next few years they saw each other from time to time out at bars or with friends, but didn't know they would soon be brought back together by a global pandemic. In 2020, when most folks found themselves spending more time at home, they were happily surprised to find out they were going to be neighbors. One evening, Megan saw Will's Instagram story which showed that he was about to begin watching a movie that she (and most of the world) deemed awful. Megan messaged Will to let him know her feelings about the movie, so he invited her over to watch a Studio Ghibli movie instead. They grew close very quickly and spent lots of time together cooking, hiking, swimming in the river, and watching Ghibli movies. Will also worked on earning Bean's affection, through much trial and error. One night, Will made a bison chili so delicious, Megan knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. In February of 2022, they moved into their first apartment together in Northside. With some initial ups and downs, they thrived there, and even added a new member to the family; Bruno. Bruno and Bean took some time to warm up to each other, but now they are the best of friends! After spending over a year scouring the market, they were able to find the perfect little house in which to raise their little family. On the day the paperwork was signed, Will told Megan to go inside so he could knock on the door, and she could answer for the first time in a house of their own. He knocked, and when she opened the door, Will was down on one knee, and asked Megan to do him the supreme honor of spending the rest of her life with him. Here we are now, to be wed two years from that day, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Having loved 5 and a half years of walks, zoo trips, dinners, gardens, books, embraces, spats, jokes, kisses, and doggie baths (twice as many with the new addition of Shelby to the family), Megan and Will are so excited to share our vows of love in front of you all this November 1, 2025.
