William and Megan met during a wine event at The Williamsburg Winery surrounded by lots of friends from Megan's school and William's parents. Those there reported that it was sparks from the start and we have to agree! Our first date was February 16th at Traditions Brewing with dinner at Salsa's. We ended up spending 6 hours together between dinner, dancing, and enjoying talking to each other!

William asked Megan to drive him and his dad to the Richmond airport and during the trip William's dad referred to Megan as William's "girlfriend". This prompted the couple to officially make it "official"!

William and Megan love going to festivals and events with friends! They love music and dancing and attending social events with friends. This photo is from our first Blues, Brews and BBQ festival on the Yorktown waterfront.

Those that know William know that he is a big fan of the band Phish. This was William's birthday weekend, the first spent with Megan, and she bought them tickets to the Phish concert that happened to come to the Hampton Coliseum!

Our first Christmas together, spent between both families!

Megan surprised William for Christmas with tickets to the New Years Eve Phish show at Madison Square Garden. William surprised Megan with tickets to see The Book of Mormon on Broadway. Safe to say, we will have a tough time topping the presents we gave to each other for our first Christmas and how we rung in our first New Year!

About a year after the couple started dating, William decided to dedicate his life to the Lord and was baptized in the church that the couple had really begun establishing themselves in. It was a tearful and proud day!

William some how convinced Megan to go on a five night tent camping trip to Floyd Fest in Floyd, VA. This was a music festival and true test of commitment since Megan does not camp. It turned out wonderfully and the couple grew stronger and made tons of memories, including meeting Lucas Nelson, Willie Nelson's son!

2020 was the lost year for everyone but William and Megan were blessed to stay safe and healthy and continue to make memories and grow more in love. William got a new job and Megan moved up to fourth grade at GBE.

After 3 years and 3 months together, William finally proposed to Megan in the same place that they had their first date. He created a photobook looking back over their years together along with letters that led Megan to the upstairs room of the brewery. There he had set up a banner and balloons, gave a speech (which Megan blacked out for in excitement, thanks Jess for video taping it!), and got down on one knee! After, he swept Megan off to Salsa's, also part of their first date adventure, where family and friends were gathered to celebrate! It was a perfect day!
