Tyler and Megan met on their first day of college at the University of Kansas, they both lived in the same dorm building, (GSP)! Throughout their freshman year, they made new friends, a lot of them becoming mutual lifelong friends. They saw each other in the GSP dorm dining hall, the laundry room, on campus, and out with their floormates in Lawerence.

Sophomore year on Megan’s birthday all she wanted was Tyler to come party with her! When Tyler arrived late to the party Megan did not play it cool, she fell in her heels on the slippery bar floor- he literally supported her all night!

Their junior year, Megan and Tyler moved into an off-campus house with their friends. They watched each other date other people and go through a lot of “adulting” moments as graduation the next year approached. Highs and lows, Megan and Tyler still showed up for each other. They grew up away from home together at KU.

The fall of senior year on Tyler’s way back to school he texted Megan to see if she was back on campus yet. They met up with their friends all back in town, and their senior year began to feel a little different. After a trip to the Ozarks Megan and Tyler started dating and have been inseparable since. Even though the extra semester Tyler had at KU and Meg being in Chicago, they made it work. Special things work when they are meant to be!

They moved in together in 2020 during the pandemic to a townhouse in Glenview. They’re proud of the home they’ve made so cozy, their jobs and career paths, and incredibly proud of each other. Life is a lot different than KU days, but the same pattern still exists: showing up & being there for each other, being patient, being each other's biggest supporters, and growing together.

On a snowy day in January 2023 Tyler surprised Megan by proposing to her in the park gazebo by their house! Megan loves this spot, and when they moved to Glenview in 2020, she said the gazebo reminded her of the one in Gilmore Girls. Tyler remembered and created such a special moment to propose.

We are so excited to say we are engaged, best friends, and each other’s biggest supporters, we can’t wait to start the next chapter of our story as husband and wife with all our friends and family on May 4th! Having so many people who truly see and support our love, that feeling can’t be put into words. We are so blessed and excited to celebrate with you!
