It all started in May 2015 when Megan got home from her first year of college at TCU (Texas Christian University). While she was hoping for a relaxing few months at home, her mom decided to start a full kitchen remodel with Kappeler Construction instead. Initially, Megan wasn't looking forward to being home for the construction but that quickly changed when she walked out in her XL sorority t-shirt and saw Steven for the first time.

From that day forward, Megan made her presence known when Steven was working at the house. A few weeks later, she received a DM from Steven on Instagram asking if she wanted to grab a beer sometime. Within a few hours, they were both having a drink together at Saint James Gate in Belmont.

Megan and Steven were together almost daily for the entire summer until she had to return to Texas. While they continued to keep in touch over the years, it wasn't until early 2022 that Megan and Steven decided to finally make things official.

By September 2022, Megan and Steven signed their first lease together. Less than a year later, Steven decided to pop the question at their combined birthday / Cinco de Mayo celebration in front of close friends and family. They recently moved to Half Moon Bay and are loving every minute of being engaged.
