In the Spring of 2021, Dan and Meg first met through friends. Meg didn't really think anything of it until Dan messaged her, unexpectedly. He had figured out her number from a group text and asked her out on what would be the first of many incredible sushi dates. He came to her apartment door holding an umbrella and she suddenly saw fireworks. Things couldn't have moved any faster after that first date (when you know, you know!). After just a few romantic dates they were saying I love you (He said it first!). After a month of dating, they took a trip up to Connecticut to meet Meghan's sister, Kaitlyn, and her now husband Kevin. Little did Dan know; he was being vetted by the family. I think it's safe to say he passed! It was during this trip, on the way back home, that Dan officially asked Meghan to be his girlfriend under a sky of cherry blossoms.

They spent the first year of their relationship doing their favorite things. From traveling to Herkimer, Albany, San Francisco, the Redwood Forest, Wildwood, Austin, and Nashville to going to well over 15 different sushi spots, just in the first year! They jammed as many adventures as humanly possible into a brief period of time. Then, by the end of the first year, Meghan realized how much Dan loves Halloween and he got to see how obsessed she is with Christmas.

Dan would drive to Meg after work every single day during the first year. Realizing how well they lived together and needing something a little more convenient, in the beginning of 2022 they decided to embark on their next big adventure, buying a home together. After many, many months of searching, touring homes, and putting in offers, they found their dream home in the countryside of NJ. They started working on it immediately, only needing one emergency trip to urgent care the entire time! It was a challenge but so many memories were had. During the renovation, they had to eat, sleep, and work together in one room of the house. Talk about being in each other's bubble!

True to their wanderlust ways, they took a planned trip right after (or was it while...) they moved into their home to Portugal and Italy. They traveled all along Portugal starting from Dan's family's hometown Valenca all the way down to Algarve. Meg got to meet Dan's grandparents and extended family, try snails, and learned that Lisbon is somehow all uphill!! Dan got to see Meg's favorite spots in Rome and Florence, experienced the amazing food and wine, and dreamed of fighting a lion in the Colosseum.

They spent the beginning of 2023 going to many weddings, working on their home, and exploring new hobbies such as smoking and gardening. For Dan's 30th birthday he decided he wanted to go somewhere new, and they decided on Aruba. They enjoyed sipping margaritas on the beach and watching the gorgeous sunsets hide behind the crystal-clear water. Dan told Meg he heard of a great spot for sunsets, and they decided to check it out before dinner. Little did she know he had something special planned. As Dan set up the camera to face the sunset and Fofoti tree, clouds started to move in and partially covered the beautiful sunset. After giving it a few minutes, he realized it was not going to clear up in time. With the sunset piercing the clouds and gleaming on the sea's waves, in front of the Fofoti tree, Dan got on one knee and asked Meghan to marry her. Between all the tears and OMG’s, she said YES!!!

Dan and Meg are overly excited for the next chapter of their lives filled with love, laughter, health, wealth, and (duh) travels. They look forward to spending the most important day with their most important people celebrating the most important thing...their LOVE!
