This has GORGEOUS view! It is a 4.1-mile out-and-back trail near Orleans, Vermont. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 56 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and snowshoeing, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome and may be off leash in some areas. The Willoughby State Forest is great for those with different wants and needs regarding how challenging you want your hike to be. With towering trees, serene lakes, and trails that weave through enchanting landscapes, it’s a place where nature’s magic is palpable. It spans over 7,000 acres!
Follow the same street our wedding venue is on until you reach a huge rock on the left side of the road. There is a parking lot to park your car, and a gorgeous view below. This is where we had our engagement photos done and love the mountains in the background. Requires 0 effort for a great view!
Dog Mountain is set on 150 acres on a private mountaintop spot in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The grounds are always open to people and their dogs. There is a small, beautiful chapel where artwork is displayed, stained glass windows, and many, many prayers and pictures of dogs. The unspoiled haven is covered with hiking trails and dog ponds. Wildflowers abound in the summer and snowshoeing is a favorite activity in the winter.
