'Twas the day after Thanksgiving and Will was enjoying the night drinking with friends after attending his 10-year high school reunion. Will's friend Chris asked him if he would be interested in going out on a date with his wife Katie's sister, Meghan. Will replied with a "sure." The following day Will asked Chris if it was ok to have Meghan's number. He then called to ask her if she would like to go on a date. She would reply with a "sure."
On December 7th, 2019 Meghan and Will had their first date. After an evening of Italian cheese and fine wine, they decided to meet again. Even though it was only one date, they both knew this was the start of something special. Although they lived far away from each other (Will in Massachusetts and Meghan in New Jersey), they were committed to a long-distance relationship. From the shores of Massachusetts to the mountains of the Poconos, Meghan and Will's relationship grew. Even in the height of the COVID 19 pandemic when the world stopped, they kept going. Tired of the long-distance, Will eventually moved back to New Jersey almost a year after their first date.
Meghan and Will found an apartment together in Hackensack after he returned to New Jersey. Will was so in love that in the end there can be only one, and that one was her. On December 4th, 2021 while Meghan walked backed into the apartment, Will had made one of her favorite dishes- stuffed founder- while the ultimate love song "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship played in the background. Meghan was surprised and confused. Will then told her to look under the Christmas tree because Santa came early. There under the tree was a small black box. She opened the box to see a ring with a note saying "Will you marry me?" With joy and excitement, she said yes!
Meghan and Will are so excited to start the next chapter of their love story with you all on August 5, 2023, when they get to say "I do!"
