Mark and Meghan met while attending (and swiping right at) The University of Texas at Austin in 2016. Hook 'em Horns and shoutout to Tinder!

On their first date, they went to Good JuJu Cafe in West Campus. Looking back, they wish they could say it was a good omen for their future together, but the restaurant permanently closed shortly after. Fortunately, their future had much more longevity. During their date, they bonded over their love of Houston, good food, music and spending time outdoors. While enjoying their meal, they made plans to attend one of Mark's friend's parties together that same night. Little did they know, both were thinking of ways to bail on going to the party together if the date took a turn for the worst. Fortunately it didn't, and it's a good thing because as it turned out, Meghan had also unknowingly been invited to the same party and there likely would have been an awkward run in when they both decided to attend separately after ditching the other one.

From then on, the two were inseparable throughout college, post-college long distance and finally as they both ended up back in Houston. Now, the two live together in their first house with their cat Lucy and will be celebrating their eighth anniversary in November '24. They couldn't be more excited for their wedding and can't wait to celebrate with family and friends.
