Meghan wasn’t expecting much when she swiped right on Ian—just another Bumble match in the wild world of online dating. In fact, when she agreed to go to a local “New to Northwest Arkansas” event, it was with another guy entirely. That guy even asked if he could bring a friend along, and Meghan figured “Sure, the more the merrier!”

When Ian pulled up to her apartment with her actual date riding shotgun, Meghan had no idea the night was about to take a turn. The event was a social mixer and while there was no spark with the original guy, Meghan hit it off with some new girlfriends, chatted with Ian, and even met his sister. The group decided to keep the night going at the Bentonville Dive (RIP).

It was there, over drinks, that Ian looked at Meghan and said, “I can’t believe you’d kill tacos.”

That’s when it hit her. Meghan’s Bumble pick up line was the classic “kiss, marry, or kill” (FMK) scenario: sushi, pizza, tacos. Meghan had boldly chosen to marry sushi, kiss pizza, and kill tacos.

And somehow, despite her unforgivable taco opinions, Ian was still into her. From that unexpected meet-cute, a friendship sparked, laughter flowed, and now… they’re getting married. Tacos obviously not included.
