Our Wedding

Our story began in a pretty modern way—on a dating app—but it quickly turned into something far more special. One night, we started playing Truth or Dare. Meghan chose “dare,” and Sean replied, “I dare you to get a drink with me.” Meghan agreed (with a little backup!) after not answering him for days and brought a friend along to Yard Bar, where we met for the first time.From the very beginning, we hit it off. As we talked, we realized how connected our lives already were—despite not knowing it. Sean moved to Kansas City in fifth grade after Meghan’s grandpa hired his dad to be the president of his company. We had gone to the same grade school and rival high schools growing up without even knowing. It felt like one of those “small world” moments that was too perfect to be a coincidence.Soon after, Sean flew back to Wisconsin for college, but the distance didn’t slow us down. We talked every day and FaceTimed for hours most nights, quickly realizing how much we had in common and how aligned our goals were. Not long after, Sean flew home under the excuse of “bringing clothes back,” but really, he didn’t want Meghan meeting anyone else while he was away—so he planned a proper date instead. Meghan and Sean went to Cooper's Hawk Winery on the Plaza and enjoyed their date. Cooper's Haw is still considered "there" spot to many friends and family members and a place the celebrate at often. We officially started dating on June 3, 2022. That summer, before Sean returned to Wisconsin for his senior year, we took our first big trip together to Fort Lauderdale. Meghan was also in her senior year of college, finishing nursing school, and despite busy schedules and distance, we made seeing each other a priority—usually once a month. Every visit felt easy, fun, and full of love.Early on, we both knew this was something special and that we would one day get married. On October 4, 2024, that dream became official when Sean proposed in Cape Cod, surrounded by our families. It was truly the best day, and the perfect beginning to our forever!
