Our love story begins back in 2018, but the story of our friendship begins way before that. If you ask Devin he will probably tell you that he had a crush me since he was 12 years old. I remember him telling my brother that was he was going to date me someday. Tbh I never thought much of it, just that he was my little brother’s best friend.

Well, that best friend grew up which brings us to the summer of 2018. I was freshly single after being in a long relationship. I told everyone I was not going to date for a long time, little did I know. My family went on a trip to Norris Lake, TN. Devin had been flirting with me like crazy that trip and almost everyone in my family recognized it. After that trip, we had been Snap-Chatting each other and were playing Fortnite with some friends. We started secretly hanging out, sorry Dylan lol. He wanted to take me on an official date, but we knew we needed my brother’s permission. So, we called him one day and asked if he cared if we went out to dinner. He told us he didn’t care, but I know it probably bothered him. I bet he didn’t expect it to turn into anything serious.

We went on a couple dates-had him try sushi for the first time (now his favorite!), took him to his first concert, and shared so many laughs. His sense of humor is one of my favorite qualities about him. Devin had been bringing up the idea of dating… I was not really about it. For starters, he was going into his senior year. I was three years older him (I was worried about what people would think). I didn’t want to make my brother mad. I also didn’t think I was ready to be in another relationship this soon.

We both couldn’t deny that we had an incredible connection. Maybe it’s because we share the same birthday. On August 24th, 2018 we went to see a movie. After the movie we were sitting in my car when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was a little hesitant at first, but I knew I couldn’t help how I felt about him. It was after midnight, so we officially started dating on August 25th.

Since that day, we have been inseparable. We moved in together after being together only a year and a half. Recently bought our first house together. From New York, Florida, Las Vegas, Disney, Texas, to kicking his butt at bowling every chance I can, we continue to make so many great memories together. I can’t wait to get married to my best friend and spend the rest of my life laughing and making the best memories. Here’s to forever. 🤍
