The ceremony will be taking place at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish also known at IHM. The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish is located at 4701 Weldin Rd. Wilmington, DE 19803 The reception will follow after the ceremony and will be taking place at Mendenhall Inn located at 323 Kennett Pike, Mendenhall, PA 19357. Cocktail hour starts at 5:30 in the atrium of the Grand Ballroom

The average temperature in September for a typical day ranges from a high of 80°F to a low of 58°F . Some would describe it as pleasantly warm, slightly humid but cool.

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men. Ladies please avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream, as they are saved for the bride to feel special on her day.

The closest airport is the Philadelphia International Airport which is located at, 8500 Essington Ave Philadelphia, PA 19153 The airport is approximately 35 minutes from the hotel block & reception. There is a newer airport that just opened “New Castle Airport” They are located at 151 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720 This airport is approximately 22 minutes from the hotel and reception. Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to limited seating and age restrictions. We hope you are able to join us anyway and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family!

We ask that phones be put away at the church to avoid all disruption & distraction. But don’t worry, we will have a photographer capturing every moment!
