I remember the very first time I saw Matt. I never remember meeting or seeing someone for the first time, little did I know it was a sign that I had just met the future love of my life!

Matt and I started hanging our towards the end of my freshman year of college and we became really good friends. I loved how he was always there with a good listening ear and great advice and soon enough we started dating that summer! Matt officially asked me to be his lady while we were visiting the Cape, which is why it is so special to us. Throughout our 8 years of dating he has always been there for me whether he is trying to make me laugh or supporting me while pushing through all my difficult schooling. We share the same view of life even though I must remind him when he is being Mr. Grumpfish, and most importantly we share the same sense of humor!

I use to abuse my mother's house and always have parties there when she was away. I can't recall the first time Meghan came to one but when she did she caught my eye. I would always collect money from everyone for the adult beverages but would never take money from Meghan (that was my way of flirting with her, romantic right?).

I eventually told her how I felt but it appeared she didn't feel the same way so I went to Twin River to bet on dog racing to make me feel better. Later I found out she did share the same feelings and mustered up the courage to ask her out August 9th 2007.

Matt and I were going out to dinner one Friday night and meeting two of our friends later for drinks, so I was getting ready at our apartment. Matt was being a lazy bum on the couch and asked for me to get him a glass of water. I told him to get off his hiney and get his own glass of water since I was steaming my shirt (duh more important). Matt said fine and went into the kitchen and yelled oh God, look at the mess Karl (our cat) made! I went into the kitchen ready to be grossed out and to my surprise Matt was down on one knee, laughing with a ring in his hand :D

We blissfully went to dinner and I was calling/texting all my friends and family to let them know what happened. We took the train down to the bar we were meeting our friends at and as soon as we walked in everyone yelled SURPRISE! All of our friends and family were there to celebrate the night with us -- he tricked me! I ugly cried and spilled champagne all over everyone hugging them and had the best night ever celebrating :)
