Getting to Vermont

There are a few ways to get to Guilford. The simplest is to rent a car in your arrival city and drive. You can also take public transit to Brattleboro, which is about a 15-minute drive from Jabulani, where all wedding events will be held. If you plan to take public transit to Brattleboro, renting a car at the <a href="https://www.enterprise.com/en/car-rental-locations/us/vt/brattleboro-24ht.html?mcid=ImpactRadius:121977:546122&amp;irgwc=1&amp;afsrc=1&amp;ir_cid=d00f3caeNb05a11f08d59bde5d76b391" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">local Enterprise</a> is advisable. Please note, Uber and other ride shares do not have a presence in Brattleboro or Guilford. The primary taxi company in town is <a href="https://www.yelp.com/biz/yellow-cab-brattleboro" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Yellow Cab</a>.

By Air + Car/Bus

Hartford International Airport (BDL)After arriving in Hartford, the simplest way to get to Guilford is to rent a car. The drive takes about 90 minutes. Public transportation options: Take the <a href="https://www.cttransit.com/services/bradley-flyer" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bradley Flyer</a> from the airport to Hartford Union Station. From there, you can catch a Greyhound bus to Brattleboro, which arrives at the local Shell Station just after 2 PM. Once you’re in Brattleboro, use the carpool document to coordinate a pickup. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)Unfortunately, public transit between Boston and Brattleboro is limited, so renting a car is the most reliable option. The drive is roughly 3 hours.

By Train 

If you love a scenic route, the <a href="https://www.amtrak.com/vermonter-train" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Vermonter Amtrak Line</a>, is a beautiful way to travel to Guilford. You can fly into any airport along the line and connect easily to the train. You can also fly into EWR, JFK and rent a car for a scenic drive. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)Take a rideshare or the Metrorail (~20 minutes) to Washington DC Union Station. The Vermonter departs Union Station at 8:05 AM (Mon–Fri). Baltimore Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)Take a <a href="https://bwiairport.com/to-from-bwi/transportation/transit/amtrak/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">free shuttle</a> from the airport terminal to the BWI Amtrak Station. The Vermonter departs BWI at 8:30 AM (Mon–Fri). Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) Take NJ Transit (Northeast Corridor #3850 or North Jersey Coast #3252) to Newark Penn Station (~10 minutes). The Vermonter departs Newark Penn Station at 11:03 AM. New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)Take the subway from JFK to New York Penn Station (~35 minutes). The Vermonter departs Moynihan Train Hall at 11:33 AM. Hartford International Airport (BDL)Take the <a href="https://www.cttransit.com/services/bradley-flyer" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bradley Flyer</a> from the airport to Hartford Union Station. The Vermonter departs Hartford at 2:17 PM. The Vermonter arrives in Brattleboro at 4:56 PM - though, in classic Amtrak fashion, it may run a bit late. We recommend planning your train travel for Friday, September 4th at the latest to ensure you arrive in plenty of time for the festivities.

Travel

Folks who will be renting a vehicle/driving, and are okay with other attendees reaching out to them directly to carpool, can add their contact and travel details in the Available Rides tab of the linked spreadsheet.

Our festivities fall on a holiday weekend during peak leaf-peeping season, so accommodations fill up quickly. Be sure to book as soon as you know you’ll be joining us!

Camping at the Venue

We are pleased to offer free camping at the venue from September 5–6. If you'd like to arrive earlier, we can likely accommodate you - just text Meghan to confirm your arrival date. The property includes both grassy and forested campsites, plus an outdoor bathroom and shower for campers. Please plan to bring your own tent and sleeping gear. Don’t forget to note on your RSVP if you plan to camp, so we can prepare the property and share any additional details with you.
