Meghan Elizabeth O’Rourke was raised in a quiet little suburb on the south side of the Twin Cities. Cory Kenneth Kaisersatt grew up in in that same suburb, Prior Lake, MN. They both spent the first 18 years of their lives there, but never actually met or so they say. Of course, they knew of each other; after all, how could Cory miss Meghan’s eccentric personality and stunning beauty and how could Meghan not hear about the brash young buck down the street.

No, they did not meet until a group setting. Friends from different walks of life knew Meghan and Cory separately and that is how the duo did end up meeting. It was these friends who invited Cory to Meghan’s graduation party and orchestrated a cabin weekend that involved the two. It was these same friends who also voiced to Meghan and Cory separately that they might like each other a little more than friends.

They were right.

After a few years of casual overlap and multiple friends (none of which really knew each other) cory did think “hmmmm you know I think there could be something here.” So, he asked Meghan to spend time together just the two of them. She said yes.

Things went well. Cory asked Meghan if she would like to be his girlfriend. Three days later she agreed to it and 9 days after that she left for her senior year at GCU.

After 9 months of long distance, Meghan moved back to Minnesota. 9 months after that, Cory asked Meghan to marry him. She did in fact say YES!

And the rest becomes history on June 7th.
