It all started on Hinge . . . or did it?

While it is true that Meghan & Nick found each other on the Hinge dating app, there is so much more to the story than just two people swiping right.

How Crystal made it all happen

Nick started a new teaching job in the Fall of 2021, where he met one of Meghan's best friends, Crystal Salazar (now Byerly). It was Crystal that first tried to introduce Meghan and Nick to each other, but Nick decided that he "wasn't interested at the moment." Meghan, however, was very interested, and decided to keep an eye out for any opportunity to meet the "new, cute choir director."

After a few months had passed, Nick started to feel more comfortable in his job and decided to jump back into dating. He downloaded the Hinge dating app, and within minutes, matched with Meghan (best thing that ever happened to him). On the other end of the screen, Meghan was excited to finally meet Nick, and it didn't take long for him to recognize the mutual connection to Crystal.
