There will be two ceremonies at the Legacy Castle on Sunday, 11/10. The Hindu ceremony will start at 9 am with the baarat (welcome procession for the groom) and end around noon. A traditional South Indian lunch will be served from noon-2pm.
At 5pm, guests will return to the venue for our civil/Jewish evening ceremony. It will be followed by cocktail hour, dinner, and reception until 11 pm.
What should I wear?
For the Hindu ceremony, Indian clothes are preferred, but optional! If you are interested in wearing traditional garb, there are many places you can find them. Try googling Indian clothing boutiques near you or you can even find beautiful outfits on Amazon! If you have any questions, please reach out to the bride. For the evening ceremony, the dress code is cocktail/black-tie optional. Please no jeans.
Will there be transportation to the venue?
Yes! For those who choose to stay at the Sheraton Parsippany where we reserved a block, there will be a shuttle to take guests to and from the venue.
WHAT DO WE DO IN BETWEEN THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?
There will be a break in the day after lunch until 5 pm, so you can spend that time however you would like! There are some beautiful parks and farmers markets nearby. However, we want you awake and ready to tear up the dance floor in the evening, so feel free to take that time to rest!
