Visas
For Canadian/American passport holders, you'll receive a 30-day visa upon arrival. Enjoy the passport privilege! :)
For those of us who don’t have the same passport perks, you’ll need to apply for a visa ahead of time. If you have any questions regarding the visa, just get in touch with Meghna!
Accommodations
We recommend booking your stay at one of the following hotels: Pullman Downtown Dubai & JW Marriott Marquis in Business Bay.
If you prefer to stay elsewhere, there are many Airbnb options and other hotels available. We recommend choosing accommodations in Downtown, Business Bay, Jumeirah, and Meydan as these areas are centrally located to all the wedding venues and Dubai's attractions. Feel free to ask Jusdeep or Meghna for help booking accommodations!
Getting Around
For easy transportation to and from the wedding venues, as well as getting around Dubai, we suggest downloading the Uber and Careem apps. If you wish to rent a car, that can easily be done directly at the airport or online in advance.
Wedding Ceremonies
The Sikh wedding ceremony will take place on the 7th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a short "Milni" ceremony at 10:30 AM. The Hindu ceremony will take place on the 8th from 9:30 AM. We kindly ask that you arrive a bit early for both ceremonies, as they will begin on time, and we would love for you to be present for both of the entire events.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Grab an eSIM or physical SIM card. Du and Etisalat are the main providers, and you’ll find their counters at the airport. Even though there’s Wi-Fi almost everywhere, having your own data is super handy for using apps and keeping in touch.
Nearly everywhere in Dubai accepts Apple Pay and credit cards, so you don’t need to bring cash. If you do bring cash, avoid exchanging it at the airport; you’ll get a better rate at exchange counters in the malls.
