Q + A

Tell me about the venue

The property includes a 2400-square-foot modern barn, an outdoor ceremony location, gorgeous oak trees, and beautiful hill country landscaping.

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place? Is it indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception are at the same venue. The ceremony will be taking place outdoors; we recommend boots to make walking on the dirt and gravel easier. The reception will be held inside the barn indoors.

Where should guests park? is parking free? will there be assistance from the parking lot to the ceremony?

There is parking available at the location and it is free. Carpool if you are able to as there is limited parking. If you need assistance to get up to the ceremony, the owner provides a golf cart to transport guests from the parking lot to the ceremony. Otherwise, it's a short walk.

What do I wear?

Woman - think flowy dresses, breezy fabrics and earthy tones that would look so cute with a pair of cowboy boots. Men - think jeans, boots, and a nice bottom up shirt. Ceremony will take place outdoors and the reception will be moved inside the barn. Dress according to the weather.

What will the weather be like in November?

We are hoping for the "perfect" November weather; not too hot, not too cold, and no chance of rain. However, Texas is not always kind when it comes to the weather we receive. I will update this question the closer we get to the date once I know for sure what weather we will have. As of right now, plan for the following: If it is too cold, bring a jacket and dress in warm layers. If it is too hot, less layers and a portable fan. If there is a chance of rain in the forecast, pack an umbrella.

Where can I stay nearby?

If you need hotel accommodations, click the travel section at the top of this wedding website. There are three options provided that are within 20 minutes of the venue.

What time should I arrive?

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes to an hour early before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Can I take pictures and videos at the ceremony?

We will be having an unplugged ceremony so we kindly request that all phones and cameras be put away during this time. We have amazing photographers and a videographer who will be capturing the day and those special moments. However, we welcome you to take as many pictures and videos as your heart desires at the reception!

Can I BYOB?

No. There is no outside alcohol allowed at the venue. We will provide a selection of drinks for you to enjoy during cocktail hour and at the reception. We will have two types of beer, two types of wine, two cocktail signature drinks, diet coke, coke, and water.

Will there be food? And if so what kind?

Yes, we will have a fajita buffet for dinner that will be catered by Lupe Tortilla. There will also be a dessert bar with a selection of desserts for you to indulge in. Due to Mekenzie's Celiac Disease, all the food and desserts are gluten-free except for the flour tortillas.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event, so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will be able to accommodate those listed in your wedding invitation.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the barn where cocktail hour will begin. We will be serving beverages and guests are welcome to play the games that are provided.

When is the RSVP deadline? do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP by October 22nd, 2024. We prefer if you RSVP right here on our wedding website, but you can also text the number enclosed in your invitation.
