- Bittercreek (Downtown Boise): Casual restaurant with great food and beer. This is a local favorite and is right on 8th Street surrounded by other great options as well.
- Owyhee Tavern (Downtown Boise): Best happy hour menu! This Mel's & Collin's favorite anniversary spot.
- The Stil Ice cream (everywhere): To non-dairy, to boozy infused ice cream, this place has it all and is worth a visit.
- Tangos Empanadas (Bench): They have 3 locations, but these do not disappoint.
MEL's LIST
- The Fork (Downtown Boise): Reservations is recommended as it is always packed. This is a local favorite and located on 8th St.
- Baguette Deli Shop (The Bench): A hole in the wall shop that serves up THE BEST Bahn Mi sandwiches.
- Yoitomo (Downtown Boise): Best AYCE Sushi spot. Period.
- Guru Donuts (Downtown Boise): Fancy and classic donuts with a cool atmosphere.

- Karma Night Club (Downtown Boise): Great music with a clubbing fun feel.
- Payette Brewing (Downtown Boise): This brewery has one of the best venues in town.
- Barbarian Brewing(Downtown Boise + Garden City): Sour and cider beers only but rank one of the best in the nation!
MEL's LIST
- The Mode (Downtown Boise): Casual and live DJ every weekend, plus has the best patio on the busiest street.
- Humpin Hannah's (Downtown Boise): A nightclub with a cover band and fun prizes. This place is quirky, crazy, and dancey -plus this is where Collin and Mel first met suppositively.
- Dive Bars (Downtown Boise): Cactus Bar and Ten Street Station, known for cheap drinks and good times.
Honorable mentions: Telaya Winery (Garden City) and Mother Earth Brewery (Downtown Boise).
COLLIN's LIST
- Mountain Biking: There are trails everywhere, if you don't like the outdoors you can also ride the greenbelt! You can rent bikes by the hour at George's Cycle, Idaho Mountain Touring or McU's Sports.
- Day Trips: You can get anywhere within a 30 minute - an hour radius. Vineyard hopping, McCall, Sand Dunes, Bogus Basin, etc.
- Walking Downtown: One of the best walkable cities in the nation (in Mel's opinion).
MEl's LIST
- Live Music/Concerts: There is live music 7 days of the week at various Downtown spots. However, checkout Treefort Music Hall, The Shrine Social club, and Space Banana as they always host a concert every weekend.
- Pickleball: There are free courts everywhere in the Idaho, but you can also check out The Flying Pickle facility.
- Hot Yoga/workout class: Can never go wrong to check out a daily workout or yoga class. Some places I recommend are PIVOT and Studio Yoga .
Honorable mentions: Hyde Park a main street with food and shops, and hiking near by. Space Bar an arcade bar for adults only.
