We absolutely love the mountains for many reasons. The breathtaking views, the waterfalls and rivers, the seclusion and peacefulness. We think you are going to LOVE it! Give yourself extra time to get from point A to point B. Not only does it take a while to drive around those winding roads, you'll probably want to pull off at the lookouts and take lots of pictures! Please be prepared for little to no cell service in several areas. We promise, it isn't as scary as it sounds!!!

If you are flying in, the closest airport will be Asheville (AVL). They will have all of your typical car rental places.

The venue is about an hour outside of Asheville. It's not a bad drive, but if you aren't familiar with driving in the mountains (especially at night), we really recommend staying somewhere a bit closer to the venue. While you can stay in almost any hotel chain you choose in the city, it is almost always cheaper (and definitely more fun) to stay in your own private cabin. You'll want to look for cabins and Inns in the areas of Hot Springs and Marshall, NC.
