It was just another day at the IBM office in early February 2020, Melanie sat down at her desk when her friend Jaclyn leaned over and asked if she could set Melanie up as her best friend was looking for someone for her older brother. After showing a few pictures, and of course a Google search resulting in Jordan’s college coding projects - Melanie’s work friends all laughed and said, you have to go out with him he’s perfect for you.

From the first date, they both knew this was something special. For their second date, Jordan had asked Melanie to go out on Valentines Day, and then asked her out again for the very next night.

After 6 weeks of fun and dating, lockdown began and the two quickly became quarantine roommates. This was dating far from any normal circumstances, but they couldn’t get enough time together. The last 3 years have created countless memories filled with Jordan’s efforts to teach Melanie how to ride a bike and how to ski, trips, adventures and many laughs along the way.

On February 11th, Jordan suggested they go to dinner in Brooklyn at a restaurant he had read about online. Hesitant, confused, and after fully attempting to change the plan - Melanie agreed and the two were on their way. On arrival, Jordan asked Melanie to go for a walk by the water and soon after proposed. What Melanie had thought to be Jordan’s last minute dinner plan, turned out to be the best day of her life.
