How It All Began
In March of 2019, Vince and Mel's story began at Mama's in Copiague. It was there that Mel quickly discovered Vince's love for chicken Parm. The date went well, leading Mel to ask Vince to pick up her sister, Brianna, and they spent the evening together listening to music at The Carriage House in Babylon.
Building Memories
Vince's first memorable experience with Mel's loving parents was when he became the first person to cook in their new kitchen. Vince and Mel found joy in live music, evening beach walks, good food, and supporting each other through their professional careers. Mel, with her unfulfilled joy of travel, encouraged Vince to enjoy time away from home and work.
First Adventure Together
One of their first trips was to Puerto Rico, where they enjoyed the laid-back surfing community of Rincon. Although Vince nearly drove the car into the ocean at 3 AM trying to get a view of the water, and Mel almost killed him in a morning yoga class due to the heat, they loved the adventure. Less than a week after returning home, the state went into complete lockdown, presenting new challenges to their relationship. Despite the distance, they stayed in touch every day until Mel's parents allowed her to quarantine with Vince in Point Lookout, where they enjoyed fishing, laying on the beach, and long walks together. It was then that Vince knew Mel was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
Growing Together
In the years that followed, Vince and Mel spent much time with family, traveling to Massapequa, Mount Sinai, and New Jersey. Their bond with each other and their families grew stronger. They also visited friends, celebrated their accomplishments, and driving to charity events.
Vacations and Adventures
They shared many vacations:
Boulder and Estes Park during elk rutting season (hiking)
Universal (enjoying Jurassic Park and Harry Potter world)
Disney (Animal Kingdom, enjoying the Safari and Avatar)
West Virginia (Mel's first time shooting)
California (whale watching and exploring coastal towns)
Delaware Water Gap (kayaking and hiking)
Woodloch (time with Mel's parents, grandparents, and uncle)
Entertainment and Sports
They enjoyed concerts by Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, and Lana Del Rey. They also cherished sporting events, like Eagles and Islanders games, and attended the US Open on the hottest day in history.
Looking Forward
Vince and Mel are excited about what the future holds. Mel is already dreaming up future trips and events they will take together. Their story is one of love, adventure, and unwavering support for each other, and they can't wait to see what comes next.
