Our Wedding

Mel and Matt's story started in 2009, when Mel visited Vanderbilt University as part of her college tour. She was introduced to Matt through their mutual connection, Russell. Matt showed Mel around his campus and his frat, and they went their separate ways. Fast forward 11 years, they both found themselves at Russell's wedding. While it's still up for debate who asked who out, there was some socially distanced chatting and a bit of whiskey, and one week later they were on a hike in Cold Spring. From that first hike, Mel &amp; Matt figured out their shared love of the outdoors, food, and travel. They packed a lot into two COVID years (photos below) and almost to the date of their first hike, Matt proposed to Mel at the top of Mt. Beacon in Beacon, NY. They are getting married in NYC, close to where they live together and both grew up. In true Mel and Matt fashion, you should expect some really good food, endless drinks, and band that is almost as good as Matt &amp; Mel's dad's co-performances.
