The only trail head currently open is the Echo Canyon trailhead. Parking is limited, so it may make sense to Uber or Lyft over to the trail head.

Lost Dutchman State Park

6109 N Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85119, USA
(480) 982-4485

This is where we had our engagement photos taken. The Superstition Mountains are contained in the park boundaries and if you are visiting Goldfields, it is about a mile away from that attraction. There is a $7.00 fee to enter the park, but there are dozens of trails that you can enjoy. We would recommend the Treasure Loop Trail as it is only 2.3 round trip, and is rated as being a moderately difficult trail according to All Trails. This is a good hike for more active children, but like with any hike, be sure to bring water and snacks with you.

Rawhide Western Town & Event Center

Rawhide Old West town is great for kids and adults. They have on site dinning, shows, and activities for kids. This is a great place for families with young children.
