Melanie and Jeff have known each other since high school. In high school you could find them together camping, in AP English, out in the country or in Peer Resource always laughing and having a good time. After years of friendship they began a relationship, which has blossomed into an incredible love story.

On Valentine's Day 2015, Jeff and Melanie soaked up the California sun on Dunes Beach in Half Moon Bay. They sat on a blanket and built sun castles, watched people play and talked about life and love. Jeff asked Melanie to wash her hands in the ocean and relax. As she walked back from the ocean and sat down he said that he had another Valentine's Day gift for her. She closed her eyes and he reached behind himself and got the box. She heard him open the box and she opened her eyes and he asked her to marry him. She said, "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"
