These are questions that have come up so far.

For any questions we have not addressed, feel free to email us at leafpeepers2024@gmail.com

Why Vermont?

I mean, look at it! It's stunning! In September 2020, we had the opportunity to run away to the mountains in Smuggler's Notch, VT. After 5 months of sharing a 3 bedroom apartment between 6 roommates (3 couples woof.), the fresh mountain air, stunning environment, and an apartment all to ourselves became a paradise that we fell in love with. We left a piece of our hearts on Mountain Rd. Also try the apple cider and apple cider donuts. This question will become moot!

What's the Dress Code?

Dress in your finest duds and be ready to boogie! We're aiming for a semi formal event. Melanie says "Look good, feel good." No one is required to dress in the wedding colors but feel free if it floats your boat. Coordination never hurt anyone. Likely, temperatures will be warmer during the day and chilly at night. Luckily, your room won't be far for any kind of costume change you require!

Wedding colors?

Core colors are forest green, rose gold, and white. But also life is like an impressionist painting so the hues of fiery maple red, golden yellow, burnished orange, and variety of greens will make our environment and are much apart of the beauty intended.

How long is the stay for the wedding?

We would love for our guests to join for two nights: Friday and Saturday Night. Celebrate and reconnect over the whole weekend! Friday, September 20th arrive at your leisure and get ready to join us at the Friday Night Welcome Party! Saturday September 21st is the Ceremony and Reception. Checkout will be 11 AM after brunch on Sunday.

The Grafton Website says rooms are sold out! Did we miss booking?

No, The website says it is sold out because the whole inn is reserved for the wedding. In order to book your room, call Grafton at (802) 843-2248. Tell them you are booking a room for the Salerno-Scranton wedding and they should be able to help you from there. If they don't answer leave a message. They are very good about calling back when they are available.

How do we book our rooms?

This is Grafton Inn's phone number: (802)843-2248. This will be the easiest and most direct way to book your rooms. The front desk can answer any questions about pricing or special needs. Every room is unique and are first come first serve.

Do we have to stay at the Inn?

You don't HAVE to do anything. That being said, Melanie and Jeffrey picked this venue so they could easily spend time with all loved ones in attendance. One of the great things about Grafton is that during a wedding no other guests will be present at the Inn and we have the place to ourselves. Full disclosure: Jeffrey and Melanie will be responsible for any unbooked rooms.

How Do We Get There??

A few ways. See the Travel Page for all details. The closest airports are the following: Bradley International Airport (Hartford, CT), Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (Manchester, NH). Nearest Amtrak Station is "Bellows Falls." Greyhound Bus to "Battleboro" station. Car pooling is highly recommended! We would love to make traveling as easy as possible for everyone. Reach out if you need help or would like to be connected with others coming from similar locations. Cities, airports, etc.

Food

Almost all meals are catered or included in the room rate. The only meal times that are not already arranged are lunch Friday and Saturday. There is the General Store a stone throw away from the Inn that we HUGELY recommend. They are also the best spot in town for cute Vermont keepsakes! They have BOMB sandwiches, soups, drinks and treats. GO TRY A MAPLE CREEMIE!!! (also available served inside an apple cider doughnut) Your life will be transformed.

How's cell service and wifi?

There is an AT&T cell tower near the hotel. Verizon and other providers have very poor service. The Inn provides Wifi to all guests. (Melanie would get a thrill if everyone disconnected for a weekend. Jeffrey says the wifi is available, but not great.)
