El dorado - a place that has long been the genesis of legends and mysteries ad infinitum.

Little did Melanie and Josiah know in 2008 that their distant futures would be forever etched into one of these very legends.

Mel and Jo's journey began as schoolmates at Hillview College: two of three friends walking along "the golden" road of El Dorado after school, to the bus route. Through the efflux of time, the three friends parted ways, and with them faded the familiar "ole talk," stale jokes, and the laughter that accompanied their walks.

Life became more serious.

In 2008, Mel set off for the University of Oklahoma where she began her studies to become a Petroleum Engineer. Jo, on the other hand, embarked on his journey toward becoming an Attorney through the University of London's international program.

Through the ebbs and flows of life, while Jo remained in the land of the Scarlet Ibis, Mel replanted herself, but in the land of the Cocrico.

But in the fullness of time, and with the help of her younger sister Marika, as fate would have it, both Melanie and Josiah reconnected.

From the moments their paths crossed again, a simple yet beautiful melody of love and harmony emanated. What started with long walks along El Dorado Road soon blossomed into something much more profound- the beginning of a love story that would become its own legend.
